Tourism in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia presents an incredibly exciting opportunity!

The country holds many natural geographical tourism destinations such as The Red Sea and Al Ula plus the new giga projects such as Qiddiyya and Neom that are designed to firmly place Saudi Arabia on the Global Tourism map.

  • Ms Haifa Al-Jedea

Haifa Al-Jedea is a Saudi-born, US-raised government advisor with significant experience working in the Saudi government and the United Nations. She recently joined the Saudi Research and Media Group as the Managing Director of THINK, its new publishing and research arm. Before that, she was closely advising the Minister of Tourism, His Excellency Ahmed Al-Khateeb, on issues of global policy and foreign relations. She holds a MA in Conflict Resolution and Negotiation from Columbia University, a MA in International Relations and a BS in Journalism from Syracuse University, USA.

  • Gregory Surabian

Gregory Surabian is a commercial real estate and capital markets practitioner with 10+ years professional experience across real estate and lodging private equity, development, and investment banking. In his role as Investment Executive Director at the Red Sea Development Company, he is responsible for driving long-term strategic value by originating, structuring and executing the Company’s investment and financing strategy across all projects including the Red Sea Project and AMAALA. His most recent accomplishment is securing a USD 3.8B Green Financing to fund Phase One of the Red Sea Project, a first for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Mr. Surabian received a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Southern California and received his CPA license while in the audit department of PricewaterhouseCoopers covering gaming and lodging.

  • Houssam Abiad

Houssam Abiad is currently a Senior Advisor to the City Management at the Royal Commission for Makkah and Holy Sites. He is also the former Deputy Lord Mayor of the City of Adelaide. Prior to his government service career, Houssam was a serial entrepreneur. He has been an owner / operator of various SMEs within the technology, retail and food / beverage sectors in his hometown of Adelaide. In addition, Houssam has served on many not-for-profit boards as a director and / or Chairperson.

Houssam studied Health Sciences and Biomedical Engineering at the Flinders University of South Australia.
